Star Micronics GB is recruiting a Pre-Delivery Inspection Engineer to join its Customer Support team at the company’s new Technology Centre in Derby.
The vacancy focuses on preparing, inspecting and testing CNC machinery before it is delivered to customers. The successful candidate will support the company’s pre-delivery processes, including installing machine accessories and carrying out software updates.
Responsibilities also include loading and unloading machinery within the workshop, conducting machine preparation and inspections, and completing and recording quality checks. The role is intended to help ensure equipment is assessed and prepared prior to customer delivery.
Star Micronics GB said experience with CNC lathes and FANUC control systems would be desirable. Applicants are also expected to have strong mechanical skills and some electrical knowledge. Experience with sliding-head machinery is not required, according to the company, which said extensive product training will be provided.
