FANUC Iberia Office Expansion in Spain – Strengthening FANUC’s Business in Europe
发那科（FANUC）已将西班牙集团公司 FANUC IBERIA 迁址并扩建，新址位于巴塞罗那以北的 Sant Cugat del Vallès，于2024年2月20日举行开业典礼。新办公楼总面积 9,162㎡，场地总面积 14,237㎡，建筑面积为原来的四倍，设有展厅、应用开发区、培训区、办公区和仓库，培训区提供 CNC、ROBOT 和 ROBOMACHINE 产品的培训课程。FANUC IBERIA 服务西班牙、葡萄牙、摩洛哥（非汽车领域，汽车领域由 FANUC FRANCE 负责）和安道尔，并在马德里、Elgoibar 和波尔图设有分支机构。新建筑以降低环境影响和 CO2 排放为设计目标，已获得 BREEAM 认证。发那科正加大欧洲业务投入，过去几年已扩建十个据点，土耳其和波兰的扩建正在进行中。

FANUC CORPORATION
FANUC CORPORATION (FANUC) has relocated and expanded FANUC IBERIA, its group company in Spain. An opening ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion on February 20 (Tuesday), 2024.
FANUC IBERIA is based near Barcelona, Spain, and supports customers in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Andorra. The head office in Castelldefels, in the province of Barcelona, has been moved to Sant Cugat del Vallès (a municipality north of Barcelona) with a significant increase in the floor space, which is four times larger than before.
The new office building of FANUC IBERIA consists of a showroom, application development area, training area, an office area, and a warehouse. Training courses on FANUC’s products of CNC, ROBOT and ROBOMACHINE are offered to customers in the training area.
The entire FANUC Group is actively participating in combatting climate changes. In line with this direction, the new FANUC IBERIA building has been designed to minimize the impact on the environment and reduce CO2 emissions, to meet the goals of creating a carbon-neutral society. Such efforts have been recognized with the BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method)[1] certification, which validates the sustainability performance of buildings.
FANUC is presently focusing more strongly on its business in Europe, as can be seen in the refinements and expansions of FANUC’s European sites. Over the past few years, ten locations[2] have been enlarged, and expansions are presently underway in Turkey and Poland. By upgrading and expanding our European bases, FANUC will continue to speedily provide products and services to meet our customers’ needs.
FANUC will continue to provide indispensable values throughout the world in the field of factory automation through unceasingly creating technological innovations.
1. BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method):
BREEAM was created in the UK in 1990, as the world’s first method of assessing, rating, and certifying the sustainability of buildings. It is currently widely used outside the UK as well. Sustainable values are measured in a maximum of nine categories consisting of management, health and well-being, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, land use and ecology, and pollution.
