Tebis has announced updates to its Tebis 4.1 Release 12 software, introducing new capabilities for 3D design and SmartOps technology aimed at supporting end-to-end manufacturing processes.
According to the company, model information can now be accessed dynamically, enabling users to work with relevant design data more flexibly during the development process. Tebis said its analysis functions can also be configured according to the specific context of a task, while geometry can be coloured automatically to improve the visibility and interpretation of model features.
The software provider said the changes further strengthen the consistency of the data foundation used for subsequent CAM programming. By improving the connection between design and manufacturing information, Tebis says the release is intended to reduce breaks between stages of the production workflow and support more integrated processes.
Tebis positioned the release as part of its wider SmartOps approach to digitalisation and automation. The company said closer integration between design and production can support automated workflows across the full process chain, from 3D design through to CNC-related manufacturing programming.
The update is targeted at manufacturing applications, including mould and model production, where CAD, CAM and CNC workflows depend on accurate and consistent geometry and process information. Tebis did not provide figures for active printing hours, total operating hours, investment value, production output or customer performance results in the post. Its stated focus was on expanding software functionality for automated, Industry 4.0-oriented manufacturing workflows.
