At Star GB’s 2026 Open House in Derby, Paul Jones and Clinton Perry take a close look at how the SD-26 Type E machines 12 flats on the event’s torch casing. The demo uses polygon turning, where the tool and workpiece rotate in sync to cut the flats in-cycle. The sliding-head lathe also handles bar up to 26 mm and features B-axis tooling for angled features and programmable high-pressure coolant up to 2,000 psi.
