In machining, the entire process chain is crucial. However, there is often a disconnect in the digital chain between the CAM system and tool preparation. This is where HAIMER comes in with its modular “Tool Room of the Future,” in which every process is transparent, efficient, and optimized for peak performance - both digitally and analogically.
Visitors to AMB 2026 can experience exactly how this works at the HAIMER booth (Hall 1 / 1F50). The “Tool Room of the Future” presented there is a complete solution that covers the analog processes of toolholder selection, tool storage, tool assembly, and tool delivery all the way to the machine, while simultaneously mapping each process digitally: from the creation of the digital twin, the transfer of data back to the CAM system, inventory management, and tool preparation, all the way through to production.
The HAIMER WinTool software plays a central role in this process, managing data on tools, equipment, machine programs, processes, and master data. At the booth, HAIMER will demonstrate how easily a digital twin of a complete tool can be created in seconds when the master data is available in WinTool.
With its new Production Hub, HAIMER is also introducing a digital terminal with a scanner designed for comprehensive digitization on the shop floor. It can be installed on any machine tool and, via HAIMER’s proprietary operating system, can integrate a wide range of applications. Through a unified user interface and various apps, it provides easy access to information from WinTool, the Tool Room Manager, the ERP system, and much more. This gives the machine operator a complete overview of their production order, machine status, tool inventory, CAM programs, drawings, bills of materials, and more.
The Production Hub thus connects the tool room with the shop floor, minimizing walking distances and non-productive time for employees.
